Cronologia
Biografia
Ashley Joanna 'Ash' Williams is the undisputed chainsaw-wielding hero of the Evil Dead franchise.
Originally working as an unassuming stock clerk at S-Mart (and later ValueStop), Ash's ordinary life is shattered during a weekend getaway to a secluded cabin in the woods, where he inadvertently awakens an ancient, malevolent force known as the Kandarian Demon.
Fated as 'The Chosen One' (or 'El Jefe'), Ash stands as humanity's primary defender against Deadite plagues unleashed by the Necronomicon Ex-Mortis grimoire. Despite his boorish tendencies, slacker attitude, and reckless youth, Ash's sheer survival instinct, mechanical ingenuity, and signature battle tactics turn him into an iconic legend across time periods.
Storia
Born on April 8, 1957, in Kenward, Michigan, to parents Brock and Caroline Williams, Ash grew up in Elk Grove alongside his sister Cheryl.
Following his mother's departure during his adolescence, Ash modeled his behavior after his chauvinistic father, engaging in a lifestyle of partying, bullying, and reckless fun while attending Kenward County High School and driving his 1973 Oldsmobile Delta 88.
In October 1982, Ash, his girlfriend Linda, sister Cheryl, friend Scotty, and Scotty's girlfriend Shelly stayed at a remote cabin in the woods owned by Professor Raymond Knowby. After playing a tape recording of Knowby reading incantations from the Necronomicon Ex-Mortis, the party inadvertently unleashed the Kandarian Demon. Ash was forced to slay his possessed loved ones, sever his own evil-infected right hand with a chainsaw, and battle demonic forces across centuries—eventually being pulled into a time vortex to 1300 AD feudal England before returning to the modern era.
I PEZZI DI ASH WILLIAMS
Evoluzione
Ash Williams undergoes one of the most drastic transformations in horror media history. In 1981's *The Evil Dead*, Ash begins as a mild-mannered, quiet college student thrown into unimaginable trauma and forced into gruesome survival when his friends are turned into Deadites. By *Evil Dead II* and *Army of Darkness*, the relentless horror transforms Ash into a swaggering, deadpan action anti-hero.
Mounting a chainsaw on his severed arm and wielding his 'boomstick', Ash sheds his timidity for cocky bravado, embracing his prophesied identity as 'The Chosen One' while battling monsters across space and time. In *Ash vs Evil Dead*, Ash evolves into an aging, cynical slacker hiding out in an Airstream trailer. Despite his boorish traits, he steps up as a leader and mentor ('El Jefe') to Pablo and Kelly, eventually maturing into a protective father figure for his daughter Brandy and sacrificing himself to save the world.
