Alicia Dominica, known as the Patron Saint of the Sisterhood, is one of the most revered figures in the history of the Imperium of Man. As the founder of the Order of the Ebon Chalice and the first Canoness Superior of the Adepta Sororitas, she occupies a central role in the Imperial Cult.
She is historically celebrated for bringing an end to the Reign of Blood in the 36th Millennium, an act accomplished when she personally beheaded the apostate High Lord Goge Vandire. Following the reformation of the Ecclesiarchy under Sebastian Thor, Dominica led the Sisters of Battle on numerous crusades across the galaxy.
She oversaw the growth of the Sisterhood for several centuries, serving as a beacon of faith and martial prowess. Her life ended in martyrdom during the Scourging of Frideswide's World. Though she survived hundreds of blows throughout the fierce combat, she was eventually killed by a single lasgun blast that found a weakness in her armor, piercing her heart and cementing her status as a canonized saint.

Dominica’s origins lie in the late 35th Millennium on the world of San Leor, where she was a prominent member of a warrior sect called the Daughters of the Emperor.
During the Age of Apostasy, the High Lord Goge Vandire discovered the sect and, through a deceptive display of 'divine protection' using a hidden conversion field generator, convinced them of his holiness.
Renamed the Brides of the Emperor, Dominica and her sisters became Vandire's personal bodyguards and executioners on Terra. The turning point occurred during the Siege of the Ecclesiarchal Palace, when the Adeptus Custodes brought Dominica and five companions into the presence of the Emperor Himself at the Golden Throne. What she witnessed there remains a secret, but she emerged with her hair turned bone-white and a renewed purpose. She immediately marched into Vandire's audience chamber, declared him a heretic, and executed him, effectively ending his bloody rule.
