Mickey Mouse (Kingdom Hearts)

In the climax of the original Kingdom Hearts, King Mickey makes his dramatic entrance inside the Realm of Darkness wielding the Kingdom Key D. Positioned on the dark side of the Door to Darkness while Sora stands on the light side, Mickey works in unison with Sora to seal the doorway and prevent swarming Heartless from invading the Realm of Light. To achieve this, Mickey and Riku willingly remain sealed inside the Realm of Darkness, setting off the main quest for Sora, Donald, and Goofy in subsequent adventures.

King Mickey's intervention marks a pivotal turning point in the Kingdom Hearts storyline. As a Keyblade Master, Mickey initially held a strict bias toward the Light, but his deep bond with Riku taught him that Light and Darkness exist in balance and cannot exist without each other. His guidance empowers Riku to overcome his internal darkness, while his tactical foresight and leadership guide the Seven Guardians of Light through the Second Keyblade War.

King Mickey's primary Kingdom Hearts outfit is a stylized modification of his classic cartoon attire, featuring a short-sleeved black-and-red jacket with white lining, dangling yellow straps, red zippered trousers with blue side straps, and large yellow shoes with grey backs. Over the course of the saga, his attire evolves: he wears a grayscale apprentice outfit in Birth by Sleep, a black vest with baggy red pants in Chain of Memories, an Organization XIII Black Coat with ear contortions in the hood and Hidden Mickey drawstring tips, and a black-and-grey hooded V-neck jacket with checkered hems in Kingdom Hearts III. Throughout his journey, he wields notable Keyblades including Star Seeker, Kingdom Key D, and Star Cluster.
