Cronologia
Biografia
Aragorn II is a legendary figure in Middle-earth history, serving as the 16th Chieftain of the Dúnedain. He is the direct heir of Isildur and the rightful claimant to the long-vacant thrones of Gondor and Arnor.
For much of his life, he operated in the shadows as a Ranger of the North, known to many only by the alias "Strider." He is a primary leader of the Fellowship of the Ring and played a decisive role in the final defeat of the Dark Lord Sauron.
Following the destruction of the One Ring, Aragorn was crowned King Elessar, reuniting the kingdoms of Men and ushering in the Fourth Age of Middle-earth. His reign is characterized by the restoration of ancient lineages and the strengthening of the Reunited Kingdom, supported by his mentor Gandalf and his allies across the Free Peoples.
Storia
Born to Arathorn II and Gilraen, Aragorn's lineage traces back to the Kings of Númenor through Elendil and Isildur. After his father was killed when Aragorn was only two years old, he was fostered by the Elf-lord Elrond in Rivendell.
To protect him from the agents of Sauron, his true heritage was kept secret, and he was raised under the name "Estel" (meaning "Hope").
It was not until he reached adulthood that Elrond revealed his ancestry and presented him with the shards of Narsil and the Ring of Barahir. This revelation began his long journey as a traveler and protector of the West, eventually leading to his service as a commander under the name Thorongil before the events of the War of the Ring.
Evoluzione
The character of Aragorn underwent significant development during Tolkien's writing process; in early drafts of 'The History of Middle-earth,' he was originally a Hobbit named 'Trotter' who wore wooden shoes. In the final canonical works, his evolution is one of destiny and acceptance.
He begins the narrative as a weathered, suspicious Ranger living in the wild to protect others, often viewed with distrust by those he serves. As the story progresses, he moves from the 'Strider' persona to a wartime commander, and finally to the majestic King Elessar. While the books present him as a man ready to claim his throne, Peter Jackson’s film adaptation introduced the 'reluctant hero' arc, where Aragorn initially fears that he shares the same weakness of will that led to Isildur's downfall.
Da Collezione
Aragorn remains one of the most sought-after characters for Middle-earth collectors. His appearance in the Peter Jackson trilogy has inspired a vast range of high-end statues and figures.
Notable items include the 2012 LEGO Lord of the Rings sets, which remain popular for their modularity and iconic minifigure designs. For serious collectors, movie-tie-in merchandise from the early 2000s remains a staple, while the recently announced casting of Jamie Dornan for the 2027 'Hunt for Gollum' film is expected to spark a new wave of high-fidelity collectibles and 'Strider' era merchandise.

The Finnish miniseries 'Hobitit' (1993) featured a unique portrayal of the character long before the Hollywood trilogy.
