Cronologia
Biografia
Nanako Hasaba is a Grade 3 curse user who serves as a recurring minor antagonist in the Jujutsu Kaisen series. She is characterized by her modern 'kogal' style and her unwavering, fanatical devotion to Suguru Geto, whom she views as a father figure.
Alongside her twin sister Mimiko, Nanako is a staunch sorcerer supremacist, harboring a deep-seated hatred for non-sorcerers (whom Geto called 'monkeys') due to the horrific abuse she suffered as a child.
Despite her youthful appearance and fashion-forward attitude, Nanako is a hardened combatant within Geto’s faction. She plays a significant role in the events of the Night Parade of a Hundred Demons and later during the Shibuya Incident. Her story is one of loyalty and loss, as she spends her final moments desperately attempting to reclaim the physical remains of the man who saved her life, leading to a tragic confrontation with the King of Curses, Sukuna.
Storia
Born in 2002, Nanako and her sister Mimiko were raised in a remote rural village. Because of their innate ability to see curses, the villagers labeled them as monsters.
The twins were subjected to extreme physical abuse, kept in a wooden cage, and starved. This cycle of violence ended in 2007 when Suguru Geto was dispatched to investigate the village.
Witnessing the girls' suffering triggered Geto's psychological break, leading him to massacre all 112 villagers. He rescued the twins and adopted them into his 'family,' raising them to become sorcerers and loyal commanders in his movement against non-sorcerers.
Evoluzione
Nanako’s character arc is defined by a transition from a passive victim to an aggressive ideologue. Initially seen as a traumatized child trapped in a cage, she is rebuilt by Suguru Geto into a confident, gyaru-inspired sorcerer.
Her evolution takes her from being a simple follower of Geto's 'family' to becoming a desperate agent of vengeance. In the Shibuya Incident, her role shifts significantly as she moves from the shadows to actively attempting to manipulate the most powerful entities in the world—Sukuna and Kenjaku—to reclaim her father's legacy, showing a growth in agency that ultimately leads to her tragic end.
Da Collezione
Nanako is a favorite for 'pair' collectors who seek to display her alongside Mimiko. While she has not yet received a high-end 1/4 scale statue, she is a staple in Bandai's 'World Collectable Figure' (WCF) and 'Adverge' lines.
Collectors often hunt for her 'Phantom Parade' mobile game digital assets and the 'Union Arena' TCG cards as high-value items. The most recent 'grail' for fans is the 'Hasaba Twins Memorial' chibi keychain set released in May 2026 to celebrate the conclusion of the Modulo manga. Value trends show that her merchandise spikes in interest during the release of compilation films, especially the Shibuya Incident theatrical edit.
In the English dub, she shares a voice actress (Ryan Bartley) with Shoko Ieiri.
