Cronologia
Biografia
Moff Gideon was a high-ranking human officer within the Galactic Empire who initially served in the Imperial Security Bureau (ISB) and overseen advanced research projects, including the development of death troopers and Dark Troopers.
Following the collapse of the Empire after the Battle of Jakku, Gideon faked his execution for war crimes and fled into the Outer Rim to unite Imperial loyalists and command a formidable remnant force. Seeking to re-impose order across the galaxy, Gideon became a key member of the secret Imperial Shadow Council and spearheaded genetic experiments under Project Necromancer.
His relentless quest led him to hunt the Force-sensitive infant Grogu to harvest high M-count blood, aiming to engineer a legion of Force-sensitive clones of himself while equipping his troops with cutting-edge Dark Trooper technology. Gideon's campaign culminated on Mandalore, where he established a subterranean military base beneath the ruined surface. Outfitted in custom Mandalorian-inspired Beskar armor, Gideon fought to preserve his vision of Imperial superiority. However, his grand ambitions ended when Din Djarin destroyed his cloning facility, and Gideon perished in a firestorm caused by a crashing Imperial Light Cruiser.
Storia
Gideon began his Imperial career following the Clone Wars as an officer in the Imperial Security Bureau (ISB), serving within the Advanced Weapons Research division.
In this capacity, he directed efforts to engineer specialized soldiers, supervising the creation of commando death troopers and early cybernetic Dark Trooper programs.
During the Galactic Civil War, Gideon achieved the rank of Moff and took a bloody, active role in suppressing Mandalorian resistance. During the Great Purge of Mandalore, he ordered the devastating carpet-bombing known as the Night of a Thousand Tears, which resulted in the deaths of millions. Gideon manipulated Bo-Katan Kryze into surrendering the ancestral Darksaber under the false promise of sparing Mandalorian cities, only to betray the ceasefire and continue slaughtering remaining Mandalorian factions while claiming the blade for himself.

Evoluzione
Moff Gideon's progression showcases a transition from a shadowy Imperial Security Bureau officer to a power-hungry warlord blending Imperial technology with Mandalorian culture. Early in his career, Gideon operated behind standard Imperial command channels, relying on specialized death troopers and brutal planetary bombardments to enforce the Emperor's authority. After the fall of the Empire, Gideon adapted to the warlord era by eliminating what he perceived as tactical weaknesses.
Discarding human pilots, he transitioned the Dark Trooper project into autonomous Phase III droids. His obsession shifted from simple military control to genetic engineering through Project Necromancer, striving to create a ultimate force. In his final phase on Mandalore, Gideon fully integrated his rivals' strengths into his own persona. He built a hidden base, synthesized Force-sensitive clones of himself, and donned a custom suit of Mandalorian-inspired Beskar armor. This hybrid vision of Imperial power and Mandalorian durability marked the peak of his evolution shortly before his defeat.
