McFarlane Toys transforms the legendary nobility of Aragorn into a 6‑inch posed figurine, capturing the heroic essence of the King of Gondor with an immediate stage presence. This figure from the Movie Maniacs line is designed for collectors looking for a detailed, ready‑to‑display addition to their collection, with no compromise on character fidelity.
The Scene
The figurine recreates a moment of pure dramatic tension from The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001), set deep in the Mines of Moria. Aragorn is immortalized in the heart of battle inside Balin's Tomb, with his bow drawn and ready to protect the Fellowship. This dynamic pose captures the exact instant when the future King of Gondor stands as a defensive bulwark, offering a sculpted image of timeless heroism and resilience.
The Character
Son of Arathorn, Aragorn II embodies the unwritten legacy of the Lord of the Rings trilogy: the rightful heir to the thrones of Gondor and Arnor, whose identity was hidden for generations. Raised in secret in Rivendell, he forged his legend as the greatest of the Rangers of the North, known to all as Strider. His narrative arc is defined by a journey from shadow to light, from lone ranger to leader who guides the Fellowship of the Ring and unites the kingdoms of Men against the threat of Sauron. In this figurine, his form is not only an homage to actor Viggo Mortensen, but a tribute to that pivotal moment when Aragorn’s destiny stops being a secret and becomes the hope of all Middle‑Earth, making him the unparalleled focal point of any classic fantasy collection.
