MaterialePlasticMaterialePlasticDoctor Leonard Samson, the human counterpart of Hulk, arrives in Hasbro's Marvel Legends Series at a 1:12 scale (6"). This action figure captures the essence of the character in the line’s standard format, ready to join your collection of Marvel heroes and villains.
The Scene
The figure recreates Doc Samson’s iconic appearance from the Incredible Hulk comics (2024), capturing the character in his classic comic-book version. The design faithfully focuses on the character’s aesthetic, highlighting the signature red shirt with a yellow lightning bolt emblem on the chest and the distinctive green hair, key elements of his visual identity in the series.
The Character
Debuting in Incredible Hulk #141 in 1971, Doctor Leonard Samson is not just a simple alter‑ego, but a central figure redefining the concept of Gamma Mutant. Unlike Bruce Banner, Samson deliberately chose radiation exposure to gain a physical advantage, while maintaining his intellectual clarity. This makes him a unique case in the Marvel universe: a powerhouse with an imposing stature and green hair who acts simultaneously as raw force and as a psychiatrist, offering therapeutic support to the most tormented heroes. His role transcends mere action, positioning him as a key psychological and narrative pillar for classic Hulk storylines and the entire Gamma Mutant pantheon.
Why Collect It
For a collector, the value of this figure lies in its ability to complete the Gamma Mutants trilogy within the Marvel Legends Series. It’s not just a wall addition, but a fundamental narrative piece that elevates the showcase from a simple display to a visual story. Its presence alongside Bruce Banner and Hulk turns a basic shelf into a declaration of intent for the most purist fans, offering that historical depth that sets a curated collection apart from a simple pile of plastic figures. It’s the missing piece that gives voice to the entire Gamma Mutant saga at 1:12 scale.
