An icon of animation that blends cartoon chaos with static collection elegance, designed for those seeking a touch of pure nostalgia among their figures. A stage entrance that won’t go unnoticed, perfect for every classic TV series fan.
The Scene
In this Pop! Grape Ape, he appears in his classic cartoon look, faithful to the 1975 series The Great Grape Ape Show. The figure captures the character with its iconic purple fur, completed by a green baseball cap and a jacket with a bow tie, just as it appears throughout the Hanna‑Barbera animation.
The Character
Grape Ape is more than a character; he’s a 1970s television icon. With his imposing 40‑foot stature and friendly nature, this purple gorilla has won audiences with his clumsy strength and unmistakable verbal tic of repeating his own name. Alongside his faithful canine companion, Beegle Beagle, he represented the heart of Saturday morning cartoons, leaving an indelible mark on Hanna‑Barbera animation history. This figure celebrates that very meaning: pure nostalgia of a golden age where simplicity and physical humor reigned, making Grape Ape a cornerstone for anyone who loves retro pop culture.
Why Collect It
The true treasure of this figure lies in its unpredictable nature: with a 1 in 6 chance of getting the rare chase variant, every purchase becomes a moment of suspense for genuine collectors. It’s not just about owning a 1970s character; it’s about playing a game of luck that adds an extra layer of excitement to your collection. Whether you’re lucky enough to find the special variant or settle for the classic design, this Grape Ape Pop! is a statement piece that brings pure nostalgia and absolute uniqueness to your display, turning a simple object into a shared memory with the Funko community.
