This Funko vinyl figurine captures the enigmatic essence of the character, offering a perfect starting point for collectors looking to complete the most dysfunctional TV family.
Scene
The figure captures Luther Hargreeves during Season 2 of The Umbrella Academy (2020), depicting him in his civilian attire and fingerless gloves. This appearance reflects the period when the character lived in Dallas, immersed in the underground fighting circuit world, a key element of his storyline in this arc of the series.
The Character
Who is Luther Hargreeves really? He's more than a simple muscular 'spaceman'; he's the emotional and physical pillar of a dysfunctional family. Transformed into a primate‑like creature after a nearly fatal mission, he spent four years in isolation on the Moon, an exile that forged his resilience. His role isn't that of a flying hero but of a leader who bears the weight of the world: his super strength, gifted by his father Reginald, becomes the tool to keep his family's fragments together and prevent global disaster. This figure is not just a display piece but a tangible representation of that silent sacrifice and unwavering dedication that make him indispensable for completing the Hargreeves brothers set.
Why Collect It
The Funko Television series is the beating heart of every true collection, and #321 stands out for its ability to capture the intimate and often overlooked essence of The Umbrella Academy. Having Luther on display means owning not just a figure but a piece of TV history that celebrates the complexity of secondary characters, elevating them to visual protagonists. This figurine offers a perfect balance between fidelity to the original design and display appeal, making it ideal for those seeking to complete their TV line with pieces that tell a story beyond simple franchise recognition. It's the type of Pop! that, once positioned, immediately becomes a focal point for fans, justifying its space thanks to a crafted design and strong narrative identity.
