Cronologia
Panoramica
The New Batman Adventures collectible line encompasses action figures, resin busts, and PVC dioramas celebrating the streamlined DCAU visual overhaul of the 1997–1999 animated series.
Produced across multiple eras by manufacturers like Kenner, DC Direct, Diamond Select Toys (DST), and McFarlane Toys, the line covers multiple scales to appeal to both casual nostalgic fans and high-end display collectors.
Diamond Select Toys targeted adult statue collectors with ~5-to-8-inch resin busts and 9-to-11-inch PVC gallery dioramas, while DC Direct and McFarlane Toys focused on 6-inch scale articulated action figures crafted from Bruce Timm's original character turnarounds.
Storia
The original toy line launched in 1997 alongside the animated show's premiere, with Kenner (later absorbed by Hasbro) producing 5-inch action figures, vehicles like the TNBA Batmobile and Batwing, and play sets.
In 2014, DC Direct expanded the legacy by launching a 6-inch articulated line designed to match the show's precise model sheets.
Diamond Select Toys entered the field between 2015 and 2023, crafting limited resin busts, Vinimates, and 9-to-11-inch DC Gallery PVC statues based on key episodes. Following a distribution and manufacturing partnership with McFarlane Toys in late 2023, the toy line saw a major revival, re-issuing sought-after classic sculpts packaged with reproduction animation cels and releasing brand-new character waves through 2026.
