Cronologia
Panoramica
The "Christmas Ball" product line (known in Spanish as *Bola de Navidad*) is produced by SD Toys, a collectibles brand under SD Distribuciones based in Santa Perpètua de Mogoda, Spain.
Positioned as officially licensed pop-culture holiday decor, the line translates fan-favorite entertainment sagas into tree ornaments.
Measuring between 7 and 10 cm in diameter, each piece is packaged either in an individual windowed display box or in themed multi-packs, offering collectors a way to combine holiday traditions with fandom display.
Storia
Created to expand SD Toys' pop-culture merchandise portfolio into seasonal decor, the Christmas Ball line grew by acquiring major global licenses across anime, film, and literature.
The line has expanded to cover anime properties like Dragon Ball Z and Naruto Shippuden, cinematic sagas such as Star Wars, and the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
Additionally, SD Toys has integrated seasonal and pop-culture licenses including Gremlins, Beetlejuice, Wednesday, and Universal Monsters (such as Frankenstein) into its holiday catalog, distributing products widely across European hobby stores and global retail channels.
Collezionismo
The Christmas Ball collection occupies a distinct niche in pop-culture collecting by merging seasonal holiday decorating with official anime and movie licenses.
Circulated heavily through European specialty stores—such as La Frikileria, GAME Spain, and MilComics—and major hobby distributors like Cosmic Group, the line appeals to franchise completionists and casual fans alike. Because the ornaments are constructed from durable PVC and PET rather than fragile glass, they are easily stored and maintain their aesthetic quality over consecutive holiday display seasons.
