Panoramica
Created by manga artist Nakaba Suzuki, The Seven Deadly Sins (Nanatsu no Taizai) is a multimedia fantasy franchise set in a fictionalized version of medieval European Britannia.
Debuting as a manga in October 2012, the IP encompasses a 41-volume main manga series, the sequel manga Four Knights of the Apocalypse, multiple spin-off series and light novels, four main anime television seasons totaling nearly 100 episodes, two anime special/sequel seasons, two theatrical feature films, two ONA films, and a range of video games spanning handheld, console, mobile, and open-world RPG platforms.
Origini
The franchise originated in October 2012 when Nakaba Suzuki began serializing The Seven Deadly Sins in Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine.
The story centers on a group of powerful Holy Knights representing seven deadly sins who were disbanded after being framed for plotting a coup against the Kingdom of Liones.
Combining high-octane battle manga elements with Arthurian legends, the series quickly achieved popularity, leading A-1 Pictures to produce its first 24-episode anime television adaptation in October 2014.

Collezionismo
For franchise completionists and collectors, value is driven by physical media releases and limited manga bundles. Key print collectibles include Japanese limited editions of the manga bundled with original animation DVDs (OADs)—notably Volumes 15, 16, and 34.
Japanese home video anime releases are highly sought after by collectors as they contained physical inclusions like the three-chapter prequel manga The Seven Deadly Sins: The Vampire of Edinburgh. Physical console game releases, such as Knights of Britannia on PlayStation 4 and Unjust Sin on Nintendo 3DS, also remain core pieces of physical software collecting.
