Cronologia
Biography
Vanellope von Schweetz is an energetic, quick-witted, and energetic young racer from Litwak's Arcade. Initially depicted as a pixelating programming mistake within the candy-coated kart-racing game Sugar Rush, she spends years ostracized and bullied by her fellow racers under the law of King Candy.
Despite her harsh upbringing, which left her with a razor-sharp tongue and a sarcastic sense of humor, Vanellope maintains a sweet, dream-filled center and an indomitable spirit. Her life changes when she encounters Wreck-It Ralph. The two form a close bond based on their shared status as arcade outcasts.
Working together, they craft a homemade kart and navigate the dangers of Sugar Rush, eventually discovering that Vanellope is not a glitch at all, but the rightful monarch and top racer of the game whose code was tampered with by Turbo (disguised as King Candy). After restoring Sugar Rush and regaining her true code, Vanellope abdicates her title as princess to become "President of the Sugar Rush Republic." In later years, her yearning for unpredictable racing leads her to travel the Internet alongside Ralph, eventually choosing to stay and race in the online game Slaughter Race.
Backstory
Vanellope was originally programmed as the primary princess, monarch, and star racer of Sugar Rush, a candy-themed arcade game featuring fifteen racers competing on confectionery tracks.
Shortly after Sugar Rush was plugged in at Litwak's Arcade, a rogue racer named Turbo from TurboTime infiltrated the game's code to usurp Vanellope's throne. Posing as King Candy, Turbo attempted to delete Vanellope's code entirely.
While he failed to delete her, the attack damaged her programming, causing her to periodically glitch into pixels. To consolidate power, King Candy wiped the memories of Sugar Rush's citizens and banned Vanellope from racing, claiming that her glitches could cause the game to be unplugged. Rendered an outcast and criminal, Vanellope retreated to Diet Cola Mountain—an unfinished bonus level track inside a Diet Cola volcano. There, she established a secret hideout, hiding from King Candy's guards while plotting to enter an official race to restore her code.

Evolution
Vanellope's journey begins as a solitary outcast in Sugar Rush, where constant bullying forces her to put up a guarded, sarcastic front. Because she has never experienced friendship, she initially sees Ralph as a tool to acquire a kart and enter the Random Roster Race. As they bond over their shared rejection by their arcade communities, Vanellope reveals her empathetic, loyal, and forgiving nature.
When her royal identity is restored, she chooses independence and equality over royalty, rejecting the title of princess to become President. In Ralph Breaks the Internet, set six years later, Vanellope has become a respected member of Sugar Rush, but finds herself growing bored with its predictable tracks. Her journey through the web forces her to confront her true desires. By choosing to stay in the gritty, unpredictable world of Slaughter Race, she completes her evolution into a fully autonomous racer who takes charge of her own future while preserving her friendship with Ralph.
