Biografia
Red Lander (Metal Fighter Red Lander) is a primary protagonist in the SD Gundam universe, leading the story of Gundlander III: Dragon Guardian (1992). Set on the continent of Formualand 50 years prior to Gundlander: Holy Sword of Demonic Sealing, he serves as the top student of Sacred Knight Psycho Lander.
When Dragon Queen Vigna Ghina is stricken by evil sorcery and summons realm-destroying beasts, Red Lander is sent to investigate the threat and restore peace alongside fellow knights Spark Lander and Tornado Lander.
Throughout his journey, Red Lander travels across Formualand to collect the six sacred relics of the Formual clan. His primary mission is to break the dark curse affecting Queen Vigna Ghina, eliminate the evil forces plaguing the land, and awaken the legendary Dragon Guardian. Later, in SD Gundam Gundlander IV: Revival of the Star Road, he fights as part of the Star Road heroes alongside his brothers to battle the final antagonist, Gran Zam.

Evoluzione
Red Lander is renowned for his progressive transformations, driven by armor-combining gimmicks with his partner dragon units. He begins his journey as Metal Fighter Red Lander, his base knight form equipped for standard combat. When combining with his partner beast, Ryukishin Red Gundragon, he ascends to God Fighter Red Lander.
As the conflict escalates, he receives an upgraded combat form known as Metal Fighter Red Lander II. Combining this upgraded state with Ryukishin Red Gundragon II results in Platinum God Fighter Red Lander. His ultimate form, Super God Fighter Red Lander, represents the peak of his evolution, achieved by fusing Red Lander II with Ryukishin Red Gundragon III.
Da Collezione
Red Lander holds a distinct place in SD Gundam collecting due to the relative scarcity of Gundlander merchandise compared to Knight Gundam or Musha Gundam lines. Collectibles began in 1992 with Bandai's original Gankeshi Gashapon PVC figures, which featured plastic snap-on armor allowing fans to recreate his dragon fusions. Bandai also released corresponding Carddass card series in 1992 and 1993, which have seen modern foil reprints in Premium Bandai Carddass collector box sets. Modern figure releases have revived interest in the character.
In December 2013, Bandai released God Fighter Red Lander in Gashapon Warrior NEXT Part 17 as a large capsule item with translucent wings and metallic accents. More recently, Banpresto and Bandai Spirits released non-articulated static display statues in the SD Gundam Kougyokubuso line, sculpted by Toshinao Miyauchi. The standard release debuted in September/October 2021 with a shield and gun, followed by the [CONTINUE] variant in February 2022 featuring a giant sword and expanded wing posture. Due to their limited availability, Red Lander figures remain highly sought-after items on the global secondary market.
