Cronologia
Biografia
Professor Charles Xavier is the visionary founder of Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters and the X-Men. Possessing world-class telepathic capabilities, Charles has dedicated his life to training young mutants to master their powers for the protection of both mutantkind and humanity.
His core philosophy centers on achieving peaceful coexistence between humans and mutants, standing in direct contrast to the radical mutant supremacy advocated by his friend and rival, Magneto. Throughout his history across comics, television, and film, Xavier serves as a father figure and strategic leader to generations of X-Men.
From recruiting the original team of Cyclops, Iceman, Angel, Beast, and Jean Grey to organizing international teams, Charles remains the ultimate mentor figure in mutant history. Despite his idealistic goals, Xavier is a deeply complex character whose secrets and drastic tactical choices—such as concealing lost teams or founding the isolationist nation of Krakoa—have often led to personal tragedy and systemic conflict.
Storia
Born to Brian and Sharon Xavier, Charles manifested extraordinary telepathic abilities early in childhood, even fighting his parasitic twin sister, Cassandra Nova, inside the womb.
After serving in the military and traveling globally, Charles encountered an alien tyrant named Lucifer in the Himalayas, who crushed Xavier's legs with a massive stone block, permanently leaving him paralyzed from the waist down.
While working at a psychiatric hospital in Haifa, Israel, Charles formed a deep friendship with Erik Lehnsherr (Magneto) and fathered a son, David Haller (Legion), with Gabrielle Haller. Though Charles and Erik bonded over their shared status as mutants, their sharp ideological rift over how mutants should coexist with humanity turned them into lifelong rivals.

Evoluzione
Over six decades, Charles Xavier evolved from a noble, paternal teacher into a morally complex, pragmatic political figure. In the Silver Age comics of the 1960s, he was portrayed strictly as an idealistic mentor guiding young mutants. Over time, darker aspects of his character were revealed, including his concealment of a perishing 'lost team' during *Deadly Genesis* and his subconscious merger with Magneto that gave birth to the cosmic villain Onslaught.
In the 2000s, Grant Morrison's *New X-Men* strip away his privacy when Cassandra Nova publicly reveals his mutant identity to the world. Following his death in 2012's *Avengers vs. X-Men*, Charles returned with a radically reshaped worldview. During the Krakoan Era (2019–2024), he abandoned integrationism to found a sovereign mutant nation, adopting a sleek black suit and continuous Cerebro helmet. Following Krakoa's collapse in 2024, Xavier's morally grey calculations led to his imprisonment in Graymalkin Prison during the *From the Ashes* relaunch.
