Biografia

Robert "Bob" Parr, publicly known as Mr. Incredible, was once one of the most celebrated "Supers" during the Golden Age of superheroes. Known for his superhuman strength and dedication to fighting crime, he operated as a famous solo hero in Metroville. Following his marriage to fellow superhero Elastigirl (Helen Parr), a series of lawsuits filed by injured bystanders led to a public backlash against Supers.

The government initiated the Superhero Relocation Program, forcing Bob and his peers to retire their crime-fighting personas and assimilate into civilian life. Fifteen years later, Bob finds himself working as an unhappy insurance claims adjuster at Insuricare under a selfish boss, Gilbert Huph. Frustrated by corporate bureaucracy and longing for his glory days, Bob secretly moonlights as a vigilante alongside his best friend Frozone (Lucius Best).

His passion for heroism is reignited when he is covertly recruited by a mysterious woman named Mirage for a mission on Nomanisan Island, which ultimately pulls Bob and his entire family into a battle against his former fan-turned-arch-nemesis, Buddy Pine (Syndrome). Despite his occasional hubris and desire to tackle the world's problems alone, Bob comes to realize that his family is his greatest adventure. Whether managing domestic duties as a stay-at-home dad while Helen leads a public relations campaign to re-legalize Supers, or fighting subterranean villains alongside his children, Mr. Incredible remains a hero dedicated to doing good.

LO SAPEVI?Franchise creator Brad Bird based Mr. Incredible on his own father.

Storia

Bob Parr was born into a unique race of humans endowed with superpowers. During his early career as a young hero in his mid-twenties, Mr. Incredible donned a signature light blue and black leotard and established himself as a world-renowned hero.

However, his strong insistence on working alone led him to reject an enthusiastic young fan named Buddy Pine, an encounter that unknowingly birthed his future arch-nemesis.

On the night of his wedding to Helen, Bob saved a man from suicide who subsequently sued him for injuries, setting off a domino effect of legal claims that forced the government to ban superhero activities. Forced into retirement, Bob adopted a civilian lifestyle, married Helen, raised three children, and spent fifteen years longing to return to the world of heroics.

LO SAPEVI?Mr. Incredible holds the highest threat rating (9.1) in Syndrome's Operation Kronos database.

Evoluzione

During the Golden Age of Supers, Mr. Incredible was defined by pride and an uncompromising desire to operate alone, which directly contributed to creating his arch-nemesis, Syndrome. Following fifteen years of forced retirement—which left him overweight, depressed, and disconnected from his family—his return to heroics on Nomanisan Island was initially driven by nostalgia for past glory.

However, after being captured by Syndrome and subsequently saved by his family, Bob embraced teamwork, coming to see his family as his true strength. In *Incredibles 2*, Bob's growth continues as he wrestles with jealousy when Helen is chosen to represent the superhero re-legalization campaign instead of him. Setting his ego aside, he takes on the role of a stay-at-home father, struggling with Dash's math homework, Violet's teenage heartbreak, and Jack-Jack's chaotic emerging powers. By acknowledging his limitations and learning to accept help, Bob completes his transition from a solitary powerhouse into a devoted father and cooperative team player.
