Cronologia
Biografia
Destin Mattias is a tall, middle-aged African-Scandinavian officer who originally served as the personal guard to young Prince Agnarr during the reign of King Runeard. Known for his kind heart, strong sense of integrity, and unwavering loyalty to Arendelle, Mattias represents the moral core of the kingdom's military forces.
In Frozen II, Mattias and his troop are discovered trapped in the mist-shrouded Enchanted Forest, where they have survived for 34 years alongside the Northuldra tribe. Upon meeting Anna and Elsa and learning of King Agnarr's passing, Mattias pledges his allegiance to the sisters.
When Anna reveals King Runeard's betrayal and the true origin of the war, Mattias chooses justice over blind tradition, commanding his men to draw the Earth Giants to destroy the dam. Following the lifting of the curse, Mattias returns home to Arendelle. Queen Anna officially promotes him from Lieutenant to General, and he reunites with his longtime sweetheart Halima while serving as Queen Anna's primary military commander.
Storia
Destin Mattias was raised in Arendelle by his father, who taught him to never take the good in life for granted. He earned a place of honor among the royal guard, with his official portrait hanging prominently in the library of Arendelle Castle.
King Runeard assigned Mattias to act as the personal guard for Prince Agnarr, leading Mattias to become a caring father figure to the young prince. Mattias was present during the peaceful gathering between Arendelle and the Northuldra in the Enchanted Forest.
Unbeknownst to him, King Runeard had constructed a dam as an elaborate ruse to subvert the Northuldra and eliminate them. When war broke out and Runeard died, the enraged elemental spirits sealed off the forest. Mattias, his surviving soldiers, and the Northuldra were trapped inside for 34 years. Operating under the mistaken belief that the Northuldra had started the conflict, Mattias frequently clashed with their leader Yelana while struggling to survive.
