LUNCH
Lunch (known as Launch in the English dub) is a classic character created by Akira Toriyama for the Dragon Ball series. She suffers from a unique condition where sneezing completely transforms her appearance, personality, and alignment between a sweet, blue-haired young woman and a trigger-happy, blonde outlaw. Rescued by Goku and Krillin to reside at Kame House, she serves as a loyal companion and housekeeper throughout the early adventures of the franchise.
Cronologia
Biography
Lunch is an Earthling who enters the story when Goku and Krillin rescue her from the police after Master Roshi tasks them with bringing him a female companion before he will train them. She is brought to Kame House, where she takes up residence as a housekeeper and cook.
Her gentle blue-haired state is happy to prepare meals and clean, completely oblivious to Master Roshi's perverted antics, though Roshi's schemes are routinely thwarted by unexpected transformations. Whenever Lunch sneezes, her nose sensitivity causes her to instantly transform into her aggressive, blonde-haired counterpart. In her bad state, she habitually pulls out heavy firearms and shoots at Master Roshi, Goku, and Krillin.
Despite terrifying the trio with her machine-gun fire, her blonde persona becomes a helpful ally during the 22nd and 23rd World Martial Arts Tournaments, using her terrifying demeanor to clear dense crowds so her friends can get front-row access. Later in the series, Lunch's bad persona develops a strong romantic crush on Tien Shinhan, following him and Chiaotzu into the wilderness after the tournaments conclude. In Dragon Ball Z, she is shown living near Tien, grieving his death in the Saiyan Saga, and eventually resurfacing at the end of the Majin Buu Saga as a truck driver who donates her energy to Goku's Super Spirit Bomb.
Backstory
Prior to meeting Goku and Krillin, Lunch's blonde form was notorious as the most-wanted criminal in Brown County.
After transforming into her aggressive self due to a sneeze in a bar, she pulled off a major train robbery and fled from law enforcement.
During the high-speed police chase, an accidental sneeze reverted her back to her innocent, helpless blue-haired form. Goku and Krillin happened upon the police cornering her, mistook the officers for impersonators, and knocked them out to rescue Lunch so she could fulfill Master Roshi's request for a female companion at Kame House.

Evolution
Early in the series, Lunch's two personalities were entirely isolated from one another, with neither side retaining memories of what occurred while the other was in control. Her blonde persona initially acted as an unhinged, violent criminal who shot indiscriminately at Goku, Krillin, and Master Roshi upon transforming.
Over time, Lunch's blonde persona softened and gained greater awareness. She began remembering previous events, learned to suppress her chaotic urges, and became genuinely protective of her friends at Kame House. Her aggressive focus shifted from crime to romantic devotion toward Tien Shinhan, leading her to leave Kame House to follow him. In later DBZ appearances, she transitioned into a quiet civilian life working as a truck driver.
