Cronologia
Biografia

Jyn Erso is a central hero of the Galactic Civil War, renowned for commanding the insurgent Rogue One squad during the high-stakes heist of the Death Star schematics.
Initially extracted from an Imperial labor camp on Wobani by Alliance Intelligence while using the alias Liana Hallik, Jyn was recruited to make contact with extremist partisan Saw Gerrera and locate her father, Galen Erso—the chief engineer coerced into designing the Empire's planet-killing superweapon.
Upon learning that her father had secretly embedded a critical vulnerability into the Death Star's thermal exhaust port, Jyn embraced the Rebel cause, transforming from an isolated survivor into a passionate leader. When the Rebel Alliance Council hesitated to act, she rallied a courageous team of volunteers to launch an unauthorized infiltration of the Imperial security complex on Scarif. Jyn succeeded in transmitting the Death Star plans directly to the Alliance fleet moments before dying on Scarif alongside Cassian Andor when the superweapon fired upon the base.
Storia

Jyn Erso was born in 21 BBY on the Outer Rim ice planet of Vallt inside a Separatist prison where her father, pacifist scientist Galen Erso, was held alongside her mother, Lyra.
Extracted to Coruscant by Republic Lieutenant Commander Orson Krennic, Jyn spent her early childhood moving between worlds before Krennic relocated the family to Coruscant under the guise of an energy research initiative named Project Celestial Power.
Realizing the project was secretly developing a superweapon, Galen and Lyra fled Coruscant with four-year-old Jyn and freedom fighter Saw Gerrera, taking refuge on the remote world of Lah'mu. For four years, Jyn lived on Lah'mu, educated by her mother and taught mental coping exercises by her father, such as reciting prime numbers. In 13 BBY, Krennic tracked them down, resulting in Lyra's death and Galen's capture. Rescued from an underground hiding hatch by Saw Gerrera, Jyn was brought to the island outpost of Wrea and trained in weaponry, hand-to-hand combat, and slicing. At age sixteen, Saw abandoned her to protect her identity, forcing Jyn to survive independently as an outlaw across the galaxy until her capture on Wobani.

Evoluzione
Jyn Erso's character arc represents a movement from protected innocence to hardened, cynical isolation, culminating in selfless martyrdom for a greater cause. Born into a loving family that attempted to shield her from galactic conflict, her world collapsed at age eight with her mother's death and father's abduction. Under Saw Gerrera's guardianship, Jyn adapted to extreme insurgency, acquiring lethal martial skills and slicing capabilities while suppressing her emotional vulnerability.
When Saw abandoned her at sixteen to shield her identity, Jyn adopted aliases like Liana Hallik and detached herself entirely from galactic politics, prioritizing individual survival through minor criminal acts. However, learning of her father's secret sacrifice to sabotage the Death Star reawakened her purpose. Embracing her mother's faith in the Force through her kyber crystal pendant, Jyn transformed into an inspiring figure who restored hope to the Rebel Alliance and led the Rogue One squad to their defining sacrifice on Scarif.
