GREEF KARGA
Greef Karga is a character in the Star Wars franchise, portrayed by actor Carl Weathers. Initially serving as the Guild Master of the Bounty Hunters' Guild on Nevarro, he undergoes a moral transformation to become the planet's High Magistrate and a key ally to Din Djarin and Grogu.
Cronologia
Biografia
Greef Karga was an agent and Guild Master for the Bounty Hunters' Guild on the Outer Rim planet Nevarro following the collapse of the Galactic Empire. In around 9 ABY, Karga hired the Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin for an off-the-books commission from an Imperial Client to retrieve Grogu.
When Djarin later broke Guild protocol to rescue Grogu from Imperial custody, Karga assembled the Guild's forces to ambush Djarin, leading to a fierce standoff in the city. Karga later contacted Djarin under the pretense of liberating Nevarro from Imperial occupation while secretly planning to murder Djarin and deliver Grogu to the Empire.
However, during an expedition, Karga suffered a mortal wound from a native reptavian and was healed by Grogu using the Force. Moved by the child's compassion, Karga had a profound change of heart, killed his own co-conspirators, and joined forces with Djarin, Cara Dune, IG-11, and Kuiil to defeat Moff Gideon's Imperial garrison. Following the liberation of Nevarro, Karga reformed his life and became the planet's High Magistrate. Alongside Marshal Cara Dune, he cleaned up the settlement, converted a cantina into a school, eradicated remaining Imperial strongholds, and defended Nevarro against Pirate Captain Gorian Shard, establishing the world as a peaceful, independent trade hub.
Storia
Prior to his tenure with the Bounty Hunters' Guild, Greef Karga served as a magistrate under the Galactic Empire.
After being disgraced, he lost his position and relocated to Nevarro shortly after the collapse of the Imperial regime.
There, he rose to prominence as a Guild Master. During his earlier years, his accounting was managed by 'the Mythrol,' who eventually stole money from Karga and fled, leaving the Mythrol indebted to Karga for three hundred and fifty years of service.

Evoluzione
Greef Karga transforms from a self-interested underworld power broker into an honorable civic ruler. Initially, he operates strictly within the pragmatic code of the Bounty Hunters' Guild, valuing imperial credits, beskar payments, and business protocols above moral concerns.
When Din Djarin breaks Guild rules to rescue Grogu, Karga responds with hostility and plots a double-cross to hand Grogu back to the Imperial remnant. However, experiencing Grogu's miraculous Force Healing firsthand sparks a complete moral pivot. Touched by the act, Karga risks his own life to turn on his mercenary cohort and help defeat Moff Gideon. Ultimately, Karga channels his management acumen into planetary reform, transforming Nevarro from a lawless sanctuary into a civilized, thriving trade hub complete with schools and public safety.
