Cronologia
Biografia
Axe Woves is a native Mandalorian warrior and a prominent lieutenant within Clan Kryze and the Nite Owls. Portrayed by Simon Kassianides, Woves made his screen debut in Season 2 of The Mandalorian on the estuary moon of Trask, aiding Din Djarin alongside Bo-Katan Kryze and Koska Reeves.
A veteran survivor of the Great Purge of Mandalore, Woves represents the modern, secular culture of Mandalore, freely removing his helmet in public and maintaining strict pride in native Mandalorian heritage.
Following Bo-Katan's failure to reclaim the Darksaber from Din Djarin at the end of Season 2, Woves took command of their military forces, transforming them into a high-priced mercenary privateer unit operating from a captured Class 546 Imperial Light Cruiser. However, after Bo-Katan bested him in single combat on Plazir-15 and legitimately claimed the Darksaber, Woves reaffirmed his loyalty to her leadership. During the battle to retake Mandalore in Season 3, Woves demonstrated supreme heroism. He flew through the planet's atmosphere using his jetpack to rally the orbiting fleet, and later single-handedly steered a falling, heavily damaged Imperial Light Cruiser into Moff Gideon's base as a battering ram, ejecting moments before impact to secure victory and freedom for his people.
Storia
Hailing from the planet Mandalore, Axe Woves was raised within the modern cultural traditions of his homeworld as a member of Clan Kryze.
Unlike traditionalist zealot groups such as the Children of the Watch, Woves grew up without religious restrictions against revealing his face.
Woves survived the devastation of the Great Purge of Mandalore carried out by the Galactic Empire. Following the purge, he dedicated himself to restoring Mandalore to its pre-Empire glory, joining Lady Bo-Katan Kryze's resistance group as a loyal Nite Owl officer during the era of the New Republic.

Evoluzione
Axe Woves begins his arc as a disciplined, pragmatic lieutenant under Bo-Katan Kryze, heavily committed to native Mandalorian heritage while harboring skepticism toward foundlings and orthodox sects like the Children of the Watch. His trajectory shifts dramatically after Bo-Katan fails to secure the Darksaber at the end of Season 2.
Taking charge of the battle force, Woves transitions into a mercenary privateer captain, exhibiting tactical leadership and financial independence. However, Woves evolves from a self-interested mercenary back into a selfless patriot during the events on Plazir-15 and Mandalore. Upon Bo-Katan's lawful claim to the Darksaber, Woves willingly yields command for the greater good of his culture. His evolution reaches its peak during the liberation of Mandalore, where he risks his life in atmospheric re-entry and pilots a falling cruiser as a battering ram to destroy Moff Gideon's base.
