Storia
Born into a prominent Mexican wrestling dynasty, Manuel Andrade began his in-ring training at a young age under his family's wrestling promotion. He made his official debut at just 13 years old in 2003, wrestling under the name Brillante Jr.
in honor of his father, while occasionally competing masked as Guerrero Azteca ("Aztec Warrior") and Rey Azteca ("Aztec King"). Early in his career, he engaged in a heated storyline rivalry against his uncle Zafio, defeating him in his first Lucha de Apuestas match to force Zafio to have his hair shaved per lucha libre tradition.
In 2007, Andrade signed with Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) and trained under head trainer El Satánico. CMLL repackaged him as La Sombra ("The Shadow"), equipping him with a black and silver mask patterned after his father's ring gear. As La Sombra, he rapidly rose through CMLL's ranks, winning the 2007 Torneo Gran Alternativa alongside Místico and becoming the youngest wrestler in history to win the NWA World Welterweight Championship at age 18.

Evoluzione
Andrade's career trajectory is defined by striking persona transformations across international wrestling capitals. He debuted in 2003 as a masked third-generation luchador under the names Brillante Jr. and Guerrero Azteca. After signing with CMLL in 2007, he took on the identity of **La Sombra** ("The Shadow"), wearing a silver and black mask. Initially a pure heroic *técnico*, La Sombra underwent a dramatic character evolution in 2014 by co-founding *Los Ingobernables* alongside Rush and La Máscara. Functioning as an arrogant anti-hero who adopted a relaxed "Tranquilo" attitude, La Sombra disrupted traditional Mexican wrestling dynamics until he was forced to unmask by Atlantis in September 2015.
Transitioning to WWE in late 2015, he was repackaged as **Andrade "Cien" Almas**. Paired with manager Zelina Vega, he transformed into a sharp-suited, ruthless heel, capturing the NXT Championship at *NXT TakeOver: WarGames* in 2017. Upon joining the WWE main roster, his name was shortened to **Andrade**, where he captured the WWE United States Championship at Madison Square Garden. In 2021, he debuted in AEW as **Andrade El Ídolo**, embodying an opulent, boss-like executive persona dressed in designer suits with personal assistants. His subsequent return to WWE in 2024 saw him capture the WWE Speed Championship and complete an acclaimed 7-match series against Carmelo Hayes, before expanding his global reach back into AEW and NJPW as a multi-promotional star.
