Cronologia
Panoramica
Iron Studios is a premier Brazilian manufacturer specializing in high-end collectible statues and figures. Headquartered in São Paulo, Brazil, the company was officially established in 2012 by Renan Pizii and Marcio Hum.
From its origins in South America, Iron Studios rapidly established a major presence in the global pop-culture collectibles industry, positioning itself as a leader in premium licensed statues across Europe, Asia, and the Americas.
The brand occupies a unique niche in the collector market by pioneering high-detail 1/10 scale statues—most notably through its flagship Art Scale and Battle Diorama Series (BDS) lines—alongside museum-quality 1/4 and 1/3 scale statues. Distributed globally through prominent retail partners like Sideshow Collectibles, BigBadToyStore, and Entertainment Earth, as well as its own physical concept stores, Iron Studios bridges the gap between mass-market action figures and luxury display art. By combining intricate hand-painted sculpting with diverse licenses ranging from blockbuster cinema to classic comics and real-world legends, Iron Studios has become a cornerstone brand for high-end pop-culture display.
Storia
The origins of Iron Studios date back to 2009–2010 when distributor Renan Pizii, through PiziiToys, partnered with Japanese manufacturer Kotobukiya to create 1/6 scale statues honoring legendary Brazilian Formula 1 driver Ayrton Senna.
Building on this initial success, Pizii and Marcio Hum officially founded Iron Studios in 2012 in São Paulo, releasing their inaugural branded product: a 1/6 scale statue of Ayrton Senna wearing his black Lotus Cars uniform.
A major milestone arrived on December 13, 2012, when Iron Studios signed its first major international licensing deal with Marvel Studios, launching with a 1/10 scale statue of Iron Man Mark XLII from Iron Man 3. In 2014, Pizii and Iron Studios co-founded Comic Con Experience (CCXP) in São Paulo, which quickly grew into one of the largest pop-culture conventions in the world. The company secured licensing rights for Warner Bros. and DC Comics in 2015, collaborating with artist Ivan Reis for concept designs. Since 2015, Iron Studios expanded internationally, establishing global distribution networks, physical concept stores, and debuting major collections at international events like San Diego Comic-Con.
