The CHASE variant appearance of Toge Inumaki depicts the Jujutsu High sorcerer with his signature high collar pulled down to reveal his mouth and tongue. Featured in collectible form via Funko Pop! Animation #1375 (Chase Edition), this unzipped visual represents Toge actively preparing to project his inherited Cursed Speech technique.
Significato
This unzipped appearance carries immense narrative significance because Toge's inherited technique infuses every spoken word with cursed energy, forcing anyone who hears him to obey his commands. To avoid accidentally harming allies, Toge maintains strict self-restraint by keeping his collar zipped up and communicating strictly using safe rice ball ingredient names like 'Salmon', 'Bonito flakes', and 'Kelp'. Lowering his collar signifies that defensive restraint has ended and Toge is stepping forward as an active combatant ready to unleash dangerous cursed commands.
Design
While wearing his standard dark Tokyo Jujutsu High school uniform, the defining aesthetic element of this CHASE variant is the open, pulled-down collar exposing Toge's mouth and jawline. This reveals the ancestral Inumaki clan seals etched onto his skin: the 'Snake and Fangs' (Snake Eyes and Fangs) markings located at both corners of his mouth and extending onto his tongue. Unlike the standard edition where his face is obscured up to his nose, this design presents Toge with an open mouth posture tailored for projecting sound.

La Scena
The CHASE variant appearance captures the dramatic moment when Toge Inumaki unzips and pulls down his high-collared Tokyo Jujutsu High uniform. In Gege Akutami's Jujutsu Kaisen franchise, Toge keeps his mouth and lower face completely covered during daily life. Pulling down his collar directly precedes his entry into active battle, exposing his mouth as he readies himself to project Cursed Speech against enemy curses and sorcerers.
